Website showing as down or offline, check for any IP blocks Print

Our shared and reseller web servers use firewalls called "CSF" for short, (Config Server Firewall) and Imunify360 which can temporarily block your IP due to a number of reasons, commonly they are:

  • Entering incorrect cPanel or email login details too many times
  • Email clients (Outlook / iOS Mail) with incorrect logins or SMTP details
  • FTP connections either with high continous connection count or incorrect details

The easiest way to check your IP is blocked and to unblock is to use our Unban Tool which you can find in your client portal under each service.

Below is a detailed 'how-to':

  1. Let's start from the point that you have logged into that client portal.
  2. First click on the link "My Services".
  3. Once on the My Services page, if you have multiple accounts find the account listed on the page and look for the "View Details" icon to the right of the listing and click on it.
  4. That will take you to the account details page. Scroll down the page and look for a button that reads "IP Unban Center" - below is a screenshot for your reference. If you do not see this button it may mean your hosting service doesn't have access to the Unban Center and you will need to contact a member of the support team.

  5. Click the button and you will find out if you are in fact currently being blocked from the server and for what reason and you will find another button to request to be unblocked.
  6. If you are not being Blocked you would have been informed that you were not BLOCKED and no button would have been available.
If you were being blocked and you requested the block be lifted you would now see a message that your request was a success and will be lifted. You should now be able to view your website, send and receive emails and all other services should be operational again. If they are not, please do contact us for more assistance.
