Looking back at 2025 and what’s in store for 2026

We hope you had a relaxing (and hopefully very filling!) Christmas and are looking forward to the year ahead.

As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to look back at what’s been a very busy year for everyone here at Host Media, and to share what we already have planned for 2026.

There’s been a lot happening, so this is a handy round-up in case you missed anything.

Green fingers, over 2,100 trees planted to date

Every month, we continue to support charities and organisations working to restore lost forests around the world. We’re proud of the progress so far and look forward to sharing more updates, photos, and impact stories throughout 2026.

Sponsoring Abbi Pulling for a 3rd season in GB3

We’re incredibly proud to continue as a main sponsor of Abbi. After winning F1 Academy, starring in the Netflix documentary, and completing her first season in GB3 with a podium on the board, we’re excited to see what comes next in her racing career.

Updated hosting plans across most services

You may have noticed we completed a full rework of our shared and reseller hosting plans this year. With increased disk space and improved CPU/RAM allocations, we’ve worked hard to strike the right balance between performance and affordability.

Launching a new product: JavaPulse (beta)

Supporting Adobe ColdFusion and Lucee (previously Railo) has always been at the heart of what we do. That continues today with our new Lucee hosting, but in 2025 we went one step further.

Previously, we relied on FusionReactor for JVM monitoring. While powerful, it was costly and didn’t provide customer-facing insights to help diagnose issues or improve applications. Our development team saw an opportunity, and JavaPulse was born.

Customers using our new DirectAdmin + Lucee hosting can now access CFManager Lucee Edition, complete with JavaPulse integration.

Releasing a range of new software

Our team loves building useful tools, especially when we can offer them for free. From WHMCS addons and reports to widgets and cronjob management software, our software library continues to grow. You can explore the full range on our website.

Partnering with Blesta

All shared, reseller, VPS, and dedicated server customers can now sign up for a free Blesta license, another step towards giving you more value at no extra cost.

Eyes firmly set on B Corp certification

In 2025, we began working towards the long-term goal of becoming a B Corp certified company. As a small business in an energy-intensive industry, we believe it’s vital to go further than the average hosting provider.

Actively supporting over 60 UK charities

Our charity support programme continues to grow every month, and we genuinely love learning about the incredible work being done across the UK. In 2026, we’ll be exploring new ways to increase our support even further.

So, what’s coming in 2026?

A complete rework of our dedicated server range

While we specialise in fully custom, made-to-order servers, we know not everyone wants to start from scratch. In 2026, we’ll be introducing a range of pre-configured dedicated server plans to make getting started easier, all fully customisable, as always.

A brand-new in-development project

Our development team has been busy on something exciting, so new it doesn’t even have a name yet. What we can share is that Host Media will be entering the VPS management services space, with the aim of shaking things up a little.

Upgrading legacy services

With newer hardware now in place across much of our platform, 2026 will be about helping customers migrate from ageing legacy services to modern, higher-performance alternatives, with guidance and support every step of the way.

More software releases

We already have new software ready to launch, along with updates to existing tools, particularly within WHMCS. Watch this space.

Of course, these are just the plans we know about right now. As always, there will be plenty of additional improvements and surprises throughout 2026.
